The Right Stuff * To Plant an Inside Window Garden

Plant the Seed

Even if you live close to a Farmers market and can get fresh veg and fruits to your table? Please try this idea.

Think about how great it would look in a school's classroom. Teachers, forget the paper towel and rooting a single bean seed. This is the way to teach kids to live off the land...ur water and sun minus the land. We can actually move to sourcing food directly from our windows.

I'm not making this up. Thanks to Windowfarms — a new movement toward hydroponic, vertical farming in urban areas — we all can grow okra, cherry tomatoes, and lettuce from recycled water bottles in our very own windowsills.

This is artful and very impressive.

Just a heads up: Putting together the kits can get complicated and will require a few errands to get the parts — but it’s well worth having a garden in the dreaded long winter.
